Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

By visiting annabyang.com, you are consenting to the Privacy Policy of ABY Creative LLC, the company behind Anna Burgess Yang's work, which is outlined below. When this policy says "I," "me," or "my," it means ABY Creative LLC.

Information I collect

I only collect information about you if I have a reason to do so: for example, to add you to my newsletter, to deliver a digital product, to communicate with you, or to provide or improve my services. I collect this information in two ways: when you provide it to me, and automatically when you use this website.

Information you provide to me

  • Newsletter and free digital product sign-ups: your email address.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, reason for reaching out, and your message.
  • Bookings and purchases: when you book a service through my calendar scheduling link or buy a product (through Stripe or Gumroad), you provide your name, email address, and payment information. Payments are processed by those services; I never see or store your full card number or bank information.
  • Communications with me: when you contact me through a form, by email, or otherwise, I keep a copy of our communications.

Links to other websites and services

This website may integrate with or link to third-party sites and services, such as embedded signup forms, booking pages, or YouTube videos. I'm not responsible for the practices of third-party websites or services embedded in, linked to, or linked from this website. Your interactions with them are subject to their own rules and policies.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage information: I collect information about how you use this website, such as when you visit and which pages you view. I use it to understand how people use the site so I can improve it, and to estimate audience size. This may include your IP address, operating system, and browser type.
  • Location information: your approximate location may be determined from your IP address. I use it to see how many visitors come from certain regions.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: a cookie is a small file placed on your device. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. My emails may contain small files called web beacons (also called pixel tags) that let my email service provider count how many people opened an email or clicked a link.

How and why I use information

  • To provide my services: for example, to deliver newsletters and email courses, reply to inquiries, process payments, and deliver paid products.
  • To improve my services: for example, by looking at how visitors use this website so I can make it more useful.
  • To protect my services, my visitors, and the public: for example, by fighting spam, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
  • To fix problems with this website.
  • To communicate with you: for example, by emailing you newsletters, updates, or information about my services and products.

How long I keep information

I keep information as long as it's needed for the purposes in this policy and as required by law. I keep basic contact information to enforce legal rights and resolve legal disputes.

I don't keep your financial information. It's processed and kept by third parties. You can read their privacy policies here:

  • Stripe: https://stripe.com/privacy
  • Gumroad: https://gumroad.com/privacy
  • Calendly: https://calendly.com/privacy

Legal bases for collecting and using information

For visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, my legal grounds for processing information about you are that: (1) it's necessary to fulfill my commitments to you, such as delivering a product you bought; (2) it's necessary to comply with a legal obligation; (3) it's necessary to protect your vital interests or those of another person; (4) I have a legitimate interest in using it, such as to run, improve, and protect this website and to communicate with you; or (5) you gave consent by signing up for my newsletter or a free digital product or course.

Sharing information

I share information about you only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: tools that help me run this website and my business, such as Stripe, Gumroad, and Calendly (payments and scheduling), Kit (email), Tally (contact form), Cloudflare (hosting), and Google Analytics (analytics), plus everyday tools for scheduling, email, and file storage. This list is not meant to be exhaustive, and I may change service providers in the future.
  • Legal and regulatory requirements: in response to a subpoena, court order, or other government request.
  • To protect rights, property, and others: when I believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect my rights or property, third parties, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if my business is sold or transferred, your information may be transferred too, and this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to it.
  • With your consent: when you ask me to or agree to it.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information: information that can no longer reasonably identify you, such as the total number of newsletter subscribers.
  • Affiliate links: some of my newsletters and blog posts include affiliate links. Affiliates can't see your email address, but if you click an affiliate link, that company can see the click and may collect information about you on its own website.

I don't sell your data

I'm not a data broker. I don't sell your personal information to data brokers or to companies that want to send you marketing emails. I don't run ads on this website.

Security

No online service is 100% secure, but I and the services I use take reasonable measures to protect information about you from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction.

Choices

  • Limit the information you provide: optional fields, like company or website on the contact form, can be left blank.
  • Set your browser to reject cookies: you can refuse some or all cookies, or get an alert when cookies are sent. To stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits on any website, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Unsubscribe from my emails: every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
  • Booking reminders: if you book a paid service that includes live sessions, you may receive confirmations and reminders for that booking. Anything else about your session comes directly from me.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and countries covered by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, like the right to request access to or deletion of your data.

European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you're located in a country covered by the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Object to my use and processing of your personal data.
  • Request that I limit my use and processing of your personal data.
  • Request portability of your personal data.

You also have the right to make a complaint to a government supervisory authority.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

In the last 12 months, I and my service providers collected these categories of personal information from California residents, depending on how they used this website:

  • Identifiers (like your name and email address).
  • Commercial information (like your booking and purchase history).
  • Internet activity information (like the pages you visit on this website).
  • Geolocation data (like your approximate location based on your IP address).

If you're a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Request to know the categories of personal information I collect, why I collect and use it, where it came from, who I share it with, and the specific pieces of information I collect about you.
  • Request deletion of personal information I collect or maintain.
  • Opt out of any sale of personal information (I don't sell it).
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

Children under 18

This website isn't intended for children under 18, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If I learn I've collected information from a child under 18 without verified parental consent, I'll delete it. If you believe I might have information from or about a child under 18, reach out through my contact page.

Contacting me about these rights

To exercise any of these rights, reach out through my contact page.

Before I share or delete anything, I'll need to verify that you're the right person, for example by confirming the email address you signed up or booked with. You can also authorize an agent in writing to make a request for you; I may still need to verify your identity.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
